In order to be as clear as possible, the following ratings have been used in the descriptions:*Like New* = A book/item that is used, but is in excellent condition such that there would be little difference from a brand new item excepting that it has been previously owned. *Excellent* = A book or item that is used, but in exceptionally good condition. Bindings, text blocks, etc. are all clean and in tact. Item may show very minor signs of previous ownership such as shelf wear, but will contain no previous user markings such as bookplates, highlighting, etc. *Very Good* = A book or item that is used, but in very good condition, yet may show more signs of previous ownership than an *excellent* condition book or item. Bindings, text blocks, etc. are all clean and in tact, but the item contains some very minor previous owner markings such as bookplates or inscriptions, but no highlighting or marginalia. *Good* = A book or item that is in very readable condition, though possibly containing more signs of previous ownership than a *very good* condition book or item. Bindings may be less secure, though covers will be present and still attached. There may be some foxing (speckles on the pages), but not such that interfere with the printed text. The book may have other markings as well such as minor highlighting or marginalia, bookplates, or inscriptions on the front free endpaper, etc. *Fair* = A book or item that is in readable condition, but contains many signs of previous ownership such as loosened bindings, highlighting, foxing to the pages, marginalia, etc. Covers may be loose or detached, but will be present unless otherwise specified. *Poor* = A book or item that shows considerable wear such as loose or missing bindings, heavy marking, marginalia, or highlighting, previous owner's inscriptions and/or bookplates, and may have missing plates or other pages from the text.
